Boylan Brown

Alternative Dispute Resolution

It has been our experience that in the appropriate case, well designed ADR procedures can preserve confidentiality and produce faster and more economically efficient results than litigation. Our firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group counsels our clients on the effective use of alternatives to traditional litigation where appropriate. Boylan Brown offers clients from around the globe a wide range of alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) mechanisms to resolve disputes by consensual rules outside the courts. Our goal is to achieve the best, most efficient and cost-effective resolution of disputes for each client. Techniques such as arbitration, mediation, early neutral evaluation and mini-trials can often resolve conflicts more quickly, privately and economically than prolonged court proceedings.

Each client receives the kind of representation that is best suited and most effective to his or her particular situation. In addition, the members of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group offer the services of arbitrators, mediators and hearing officers experienced in commercial, personal injury, malpractice, real property, securities and employment disputes to the public. Firm attorneys also act as settlement counsel for clients in connection with disputes for which we are not litigation counsel. We assist clients in framing and evaluating settlement options and ADR procedures for facilitating settlement. Boylan Brown attorneys and clients are kept abreast of developments in the ADR area through the firm’s ADR practice specialists and other attorneys with substantial ADR experience.
