Ms. Chalifoux concentrates her practice in civil litigation, commercial litigation and municipal law, with particular emphasis on land use, zoning, eminent domain, tax assessment and environmental litigation, including SEQRA compliance.

Professional Experience
Ms. Chalifoux consistently successfully defends municipalities’ actions in land use, eminent domain, tax assessment and SEQRA proceedings. For over 13 years she has worked with local municipalities and public authorities in all aspects of litigation relating to real property. Ms. Chalifoux also frequently represents landowners in successful challenges to zoning and tax assessment determinations. For example, representing a neighbor of a proposed and highly controversial “cluster subdivision,” she challenged the project based on the City of Rochester’s zoning ordinance and SEQRA and ultimately obtained a Court Order putting an end to the project. Ms. Chalifoux is currently representing numerous companies, including a Fortune 100 corporation, in significant tax assessment challenges in towns across the region.

Ms. Chalifoux is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Western District of New York and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York. She is a member of the Monroe County and New York State Bar Associations.
