Mr. Metzler is the Chair of Boylan Brown's Litigation Group, and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, employment matters, and intellectual property disputes, including both the prosecution and defense of trademark, copyright and patent infringement actions, and trade secret misappropriation matters, in State and Federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels.

Professional Experience
Jim is a former military and commercial airline pilot and is a retired United States Air Force Reservist. He has written and lectured on topics related to civil litigation, is a former instructor at the St. John Fisher College Paralegal Institute, and is a contributing editor to Civil Pre-Trial Proceedings in New York (West Group Publishing Co., 1999).
