Mr. Lawrence heads Boylan Brown’s Creditor’s Rights Practice Group. He has over 31 years of experience in the fields of debtor/creditor law, bank and commercial collections, business loan workouts, and commercial bankruptcy. He has represented secured creditors, creditors committees, and bankruptcy trustees in such high profile cases as Midtown Plaza, Interco Systems, Bristol Harbor, Valentown Museum, Sykes Datatronics, Marjax, Conlon Industries and Paul Dean.

Professional Affiliations
Bruce is a past chair of the Monroe County Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Committee and serves on the New York State Bar’s Bankruptcy Committee. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the NYSBA’s Business Law Section.
Long active in the organized Bar, he is a Past President of the Monroe County Bar Association and a past chair of the MCBA’s Bankruptcy Committee. He is Secretary-elect of the New York State Bar Association, chairs the NYSBA’s President’s Committee on Access to Justice, and has been appointed a member of that association’s Special Committee on Public Trust and Confidence in the Judicial System. Previously having served in the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association, he now serves in the NYSBA’s House of Delegates and has been elected Vice President for the 7th Judicial District. He is also a past Chair of the New York State Council of Bar Leaders.
Professional Honors and Achievements
For many years Bruce has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for his bankruptcy expertise, and was a nominee for the 2002 Nathaniel Award. He is a frequent lecturer for the New York State Bar Association in the fields of bankruptcy and debt collection.
